Amazon has the Motorola Moto X4 Prime edition for pre-order at $329.99,
That's $70 off retail, and a littler better than the $50 they usually do- as long as you do not mind the ad lock screen.
You can also get it in either color which is a nice change (Amazon normally only had one color as Prime version)

Cheapest new phone you may (not sure if it is Andriod One) be able to bring into Google Fi

Hmmm...I have been thinking about this today. I have on order the Android One version but at -$70 cheaper is it worth to go this route? I do like the idea of getting it direct from Google as their support is more pleasant to deal with. Also most likely having faster updates is a plus. IDK!

So far iirc, it's the only phone that's Google fi compatible that's not a direct Google phone. Great for those who want to use fi but don't want to pay the premium price for a pixel.

I've used Fi for 2 years with many non-Google GSM phones (incl Mate 9, v20, others), have full access to Tmobile towers with them and worldwide 4g roaming. Might spring for this to have the full Fi experience. I like Fi enough to stay.

Motorola has great customer service. My wife's G5+ has an issue with microphone not working only when phone was in use, but worked for everything else even phone calls on speaker phone. I sent the phone on last week, Friday and I got back a replacement today. I also have a Motorola Nexus 6 that had a camera issue when it first came out and they took care of it fast. I have nothing but props for Motorola's customer service.

DETAILS: .. " Motorola's Moto X4 is a pretty interesting device, bridging the gap between mid-range specifications and a premium build. It recently made its US debut on Project Fi as part of the Android One program, but today it's joining Amazon's collection of Prime Exclusive phones.
Just like the rest of the Prime Exclusive collection, this version of the Moto X4 is sold at a pretty significant discount, but with some extra Amazon bloatware on board. Generally, the X4 is sold for $399, but with ads included, you'll save $70 with a price of $329.
Like the Moto X4 sold internationally, this model offers a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 630, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a dual-camera system comprised of a 12MP and 8MP sensor, 3,000 mAh battery, and IP68 dust and water resistance. That's a pretty solid package for the price you're paying, especially when you consider the fingerprint sensor and added bits to the software.

On top of Android 7.1 Nougat, the Moto X4 has Motorola's typical suite of software features like Moto Display and gestures. Further, it offers up the ability to connect to up to 4 Bluetooth devices at once for music streaming, one of its most notable features.
The Prime Exclusive version of the Moto X4 is also fully compatible with all major US carriers, and most others as well. Amazon will offer it in black and blue starting on October 26th." ~ 9to5Google

Can you actually use this with Fi though? On Fi's website they specifically say only the X4 "Android One" edition is supported. I have a very strong feeling an Amazon-branded / version isn't going to be compatible. IMHO you're rolling the dice expecting this to work on Fi. It's the same hardware but carriers have made a royal mess of software these days...

Still good deal on a nice relatively stock Android phone. I have the G4 with Amazon ads and they're not bad or intrusive at all. Was definitely worth saving some bucks on the phone cost.

Not really. You can still buy Nexus 5x and 6p new.

That's a really cool idea. Hopefully that will become a standard feature on phones
