Tough thing about this one is that the mount isn't suitable for 16" stud spacing as seen in the product description. Which almost all houses have studs spaced at 16" on Center.

What does this mean for a person who has no idea what that meant?

You have to mount this on studs behind your wall. Most houses have 16" spacing between studs. This one is not suitable for those walls. So in short, you will be mounting this on dry wall, which is not strong enough to support your tv.

The structural wood things that is behind your walls which holds the 4 walls up are studs. Basically the skeleton that makes your walls strong are usually 16" apart. This item only supports 12". If you get a strong magnet and run it along your walls, it should stick to the metal screws which holds the drywall up to the stud. Make a small mark and do it again to your right or left.

Or get a stud finder.

That you can't use it in a regular wall (with 16" spacing)... you have to have studs 12" or closer, or have some type of bracing in between, or have a backing wood sheet (like in my case all walls next to the garage). If you have no idea what that means, then don't buy it as you won't be able to use it.

Makes sense. I have better idea of what to look for before buying a mount.
