Not bad, but lack of VoLTE or WiFi calling is really a no go for T-Mobile customers. It's fine for the rest of the carriers.

When you say it's the only one you can "unlock the bootloader officially"... are you referring to the vendor offers and official rooting mechanism?

I've always rooted all my phones and never seen an OEM Android device that offered that.

Its the only LG V20 version they support to unlock the boot-loader: http://developer.lge.com/resource...CTULRS0703 .There was a exploit Dirty Santa, but i think that is not viable anymore and the only way to get root is this model.

The only band missing for ATT is Band 1. I am not sure if it is used by att or it is just good for roaming.

Maybe, but once you unlock the bootloader any app which relies on Google Safetynet will not work. This includes Android Pay and many banking apps.

Band 1 is only used in Europe and some parts of the middle east. AT&T uses LTE bands 17/12, 2, 4, 5 and 30 (very limited downlink only).

Correct, but the T-Mobile variant does not have CDMA support - so for Verizon and Sprint folks looking for a bloatware-free variant of the V20, this is the only choice.

It is extremely useful for international travel and locations where no provider has service and WiFi is available, I don't understand your cynicism.
