Dang, I have really been waiting for black Friday, this is my preferred company to buy from, and I really need to get off this Fire phone.

Thank you for sharing.

I'd purchase this if I weren't waiting for a price drop for the LG V30.

Clarification: This is a tremendous deal. If I didn't already have a phone in mind for which I am waiting, I would partake in this deal.

$260 with Amex is tempting... any idea why volte doesn't work for T-Mobile?

Anybody knows what version this thing is? H990DS/H990N/H990? YMMV on unlocking bootloader and rooting. https://forum.xda-developers.com/...-t3624296/

I am guessing it will be an unlocked H910(A), which is really an AT&T model, since that's the one that seems to be in high supply recently. Even though it does have all the bands for T-Mobile, the stock firmware probably doesn't support VoLTE on the network.

It doesn't mention in the ad but I'm guessing H910(A). Since it's clearly targeted for the US but doesn't support CDMA (or it could just be that it does but there's no way to activate it on Sprint/Verizon).

I haven't been following phone technology, but I do know I don't want to step backwards. I'm looking for 4 gb of ram and minimum 32gb storage. I'm concerned with the size of this phone, coming from a screen that's 4.7 to 5.7 is a huge leap. Is it safe to assume all good phones today have a large screen that is Android?

I had experience with two LG phones, first one broke right after a year and the second one broke within 16 months. Both were suffering from the continuous power up loop issue. LG fixed neither one of them and claimed that they were out of warranty. I will never buy an LG phone again and warn others as well as much as I can. Please don't throw your money away.

At this price you have Amazon and Breed as the sellers. Make sure you pick the one that has Amazon as the seller. It was actually a little cheaper several weeks back and I was considering buying it until I read posts from previous deals about this seller Breed. Here's the article referenced about the seller.

Take is with a grain of salt, but it's good to be informed about potential issues with a seller.

That's fine but did you do a repair on them? LG is currently doing a 2yr warranty on phones.

I have 2 LG phones as well. A G2 (4yo) and A V10 (2yo). Not a lick of trouble with either. If it wasn't for the fact I'm waiting on a price drop on the V30, I would've jumped on this one...

Check out the Sony Compact phones. They have a couple in that range.
