Picked up that Rosewill Viper case.
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...gnorebbr=1

$19.50 for an all black windowed mid tower that supports ATX and microATX motherboards is pretty good deal.

Usually can only pick up microATX cases at this price.

I see some very high end open box motherboards deeply discounted. I think it depends on what you're looking at

I used to build systems 12 years ago, maybe more. I'm guessing the landscape has changed. What's the best tutorial to catch up on this stuff. I'm wanting to build a system even though I hate desktops.

short tutorial I'd say. was going to check YouTube

All you need to do is to go to youtube.com and search for 'PC building' or 'DIY PC' or something and watch couple of them. It became so easy to build nowadays

This refurb kb/mice combo is not bad, mouse alone goes for $15 when on sale. Qualifies for shoprunner too.

Thanks. Was thinking that to be the best way.

The issues back then and I guess that still may apply is the compatibility of technologies, specs and speeds etc. The ram compatibility made my head hurt back then. Though I imagine it's easier to Google it now then it was back then. Haha.
