How does this compare with the slightly cheaper Honor 6X? The 6X appear to have a slightly bigger screen, similar camera setup, and significantly higher (4000 mAh :-0) battery. So is the Honor 8 more expensive because it has a better (if not bigger) screen with more RAM and better processor?

In either case, assuming you don't ever want to access Verizon or Sprint's network, these seem like great phones comparable to $500-600 plus Samsungs and Apples.

64GB Gold variant is $250.

Also, 5% JetCash, not sure how valuable that is. Too bad for sales tax and no additional promo codes

Seemed pretty comparable. Slightly better in some cases. I ended up picking it up for my mom after doing a bit of research, since I'm on a post-paid ATT plan.

Without being able to go into all the details right now, I can tell you the 6X battery is 3340mAh and the Honor 8 camera is better. Puzzled as to were you got the 4000mAh stat from.

So honor 8 is even better than the new 7x that is coming out or just came out?

depends on personal's need.
If you need big screen and cheaper price, Honor 7x might be worthy of waiting.

Screen size at 5.2 is too small
