If shot on film, not digital, can easily be scaled to 4K. Digital films are limited based on pixels while actual film is fairly limitless.

(*) The theatrical releases of the two "unrated" titles are UV and D2D.

Note that some D2D titles are known only in DVD format, so upgrading to HDX would cost $5.

I'm going to be in for Stakeland II. I've been waiting for a price drop on it. Really enjoyed the first one, good vampire/apocalypse story.

I'm guessing not a single one of these is MA eligible. What a coincidence.

I didn't buy any films, but I did buy all the seasons of Grimm in HDX for $9.99 each. We miss that show!

This will be the new litmus test— are any Movies Anywhere compatible? If not, not buying.

A few I randomly checked, like Village of the Damned, and Fright Night (1985), show the Movies Anywhere logo on the page.

But in all honesty, why does it matter if they are Movies Anywhere compatible? If they are Digital HDX or UHD, that's good enough for me to watch on VUDU?

I think the bigger question for me is, which are not D2D compatible on VUDU for an upgrade? Those are the ones I would be interested in paying more than $2 for.

You would be guessing wrong. Several of them are MA and/or UV, but many are neither.

I agree that it would be nicer to have them in MA, but why is just having them in Vudu so bad if that is where all of your other movies are already? Will iTunes offer the free upgrade to 4K for many of these movies any time in the near future? Where else can you get SOTL in UHD format? Also, where can you find reviews on these UHD streaming versions? I'd be curious to know whether their HDR inclusion (if they have it) gives them any significant picture quality advantages over their blu-ray counterparts.

Cuz I have mostly Apple devices and some Amazon Fires. Having MA means 4K in Apple TV for free and portability and guarantee that even if one distributor falls, my content is going to work.
