I always get scared when I see these deals because I paid way more for mine but then i realize that it is for the free sync version and not the g-sync version [newegg.com] and I am relieved. LMAO

Looks of reviews saying the screen goes black randomly for a few seconds from what i can see. Seems like maybe its only when using Freesync. Might skip this one.

I started off on 2x 24" 1920x1200 BenQ monitors. Love them. My work gave me the opportunity to use a 27" Apple Cinema Display with a 2560x1440 resolution, so I set my 2x BenQs aside, and used the Apple Display for a while. It was OK, but I ended up reverting back to my old BenQs. The retreat back to 1920x1200 resolution was not a big deal to me, so I'm wondering if this 35" ultra-wide would be a good replacement for my 2x 24"s. Any thoughts? I primary game secondarily do some coding. Thanks for any advice!

144hz, IPS, low response time.

...unless cost is no issue, then by all means get a TN display with G-sync

Seems to be a common issue with lower end Acer "gaming" panels. You can come buy my MG278Q for $320, I want to move to G-Sync. But no, seriously. If you're lucky, you'll get a good panel. If you do, you'll love it. If not, you can always send back.

I am 27. Having just bought a 144hz panel last year. Wish I had a long time ago. However, I came from an IPS ultrawide. If cost isn't an issue get a VA panel, the colors on TN panels are frustrating, even after tinkering with it forever. I'm speaking of an Asus MG278Q though. Could just be me.

I had this issue with my g-sync version when I tried to use a fancy "high end" Halcyon DisplayPort 1.3 Cable from Monoprice (part 21790 which is now discontinued and cant be found anywhere on the internet. Monoprice fully refunded my money and I still love them). I went back to a "regular" Displayport 1.2 cable and my random black screen issues went away completely . People might want to check their cables who are having issues and not blame it on the monitor.

Over the past 2 years I've seen this monitor at 300 several times almost pulled the trigger but found an Acer XF270HU about this time last year. The XF is better looking (no red trim)and is IPS. I think I payed 400 for the xf and love it.

I just bought the BenQ 2k 27in monitor, only 60hz but IPS and about $100 cheaper. I too would rather GSync since i'm not using AMD. I just go into the 2k monitors so I'll let this tied me over for a year or two till theres a reasonable priced 144hz, 2k (at least) IPS monitor (or non IPS is the price is right) with GSync coming around. Oh also it doesnt seem to have VESA which I need

Bah! Has FreeSync. I would jump if this was G-Sync.
