Instead of flossing, some people prefer to use high power jets of water from this kind of device to clean food and plaque off of your teeth and gums. I've used one of these for years and it's kind of relaxing. However, it takes much more time than flossing: getting warm water running out the tap (cold water is for sadists!), filling the reservoir, changing the heads (if you share with someone else in the household), the actual cleaning of your teeth, and putting it all away when you're done.

This shouldnt be replaced for flossing but more as a supplement. Can't get rid of plaque like the traditional way

I got one for myself band then bought one for my wife. Works great. I guess the dentist's say use floss instead but a) that has been retracted for lack of evidence and b) you should use what you as actually will do. I hate flossing but I do like my water flossing so I do it.

I use something like this which seems a lot less hassle and mess and less prone to breaking...
https://www.amazon.com/ShowerBreeze-Irrigator-Disease-Naturally-Bleeding/dp/B003ES2HNI/ref=sr_1_3_a_... [amazon.com]

It installs in the shower.

How cleanable is this? I have a sonic floss one which is pretty disgusting right about now and not easy to clean
