Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 $199.99 Microcenter

$200.00

50 off of this z370 motherboard at Microcenter. Beats the last deal from newegg by 30 dollars. My 8700k shipped out on Thursday so it seems that at least some preorders are going out.

Can be shipped if there is no Microcenter near you. 5.99 seems like the cheapest shipping. No idea when it will expire.

Sounds like a good deal but where is it? No link or mention of a store name.

Posted on mobile. Didn't realize it was missing everything. Can't even get the hyperlink done right. Fixed it with desktop mode.

Still a good deal even if I did screw up the initial posting.

What's all the hate for the z370 boards, I know they are expensive but aren't they the only ones that work with Coffee Lake?

I have no clue. My first downvotes I left a few things out that I thought were added. Went back and fixed it and now I don't know what's wrong with the deal. The downvotes are still coming in. I thought people would be happy that this was not a in store only deal.

Oh well. People on overclock.net enjoyed the deal. It is one of the best z370 boards. I can try to answer questions about it. Otherwise I suppose they can keep downvoting it without commenting. Whatever makes them happy.

The real issue with these boards is that they were rushed. Even at this price I'd want a cpu to test it with. My local Microcenter had some in stock when I went to pick the board up. Sadly they marked the price up quite a bit.

I'm tempted but I need to get my hands on the chip. By the time I get one there might be better deals

Its a really good board. Running 5ghz on an 8700k no problem.

That it is. I'd still be leary of not being able to test it. You could pick it up from microcenter. It would give you 50 off the cpu bringing the 8700k down to 450. Yes, it's a rip off but they do a 30 day price match. So if newegg has it stock within 30 days you'll get your cpu for 50 off whatever newegg price was.

It is rumoured to be in stock by November 20th.

there is at least a $50 markup on this board being that the z270x gaming 7 was less than 150 at newegg for a while and while it was in stock and the boards are very similar. 50 mark up on this board plus whatever markup on the cpu plus taxes is probably why you are getting downvoted. ...I dunno just my thoughts. Personally its not time to buy this platform yet. Once these chips become available, pricing will drop below Msrp, definitely on the boards and hopefully on the chips too and it will be a different story...maybe by the end of the year. but if you need 12 threads now i guess you gotta pay the early adopter fee.

I knew this deal wasn't for everyone. I was still happy to find it. A few people have chimed in by mentioning how much it helped them. That was really my main point of sharing. I know Coffee Lake upgrade is not a cheap pill to shallow. I also had to make the jump from ddr2 to ddr3 so I appreciated any money I could save on this.

Since it is available for shipping I would be surprised if places like Newegg wouldn't price match it.

If your in the market for this board then this deal is good. Otherwise why would they even bother to click on it? My only hope that those who wish to take advantage of this deal can still find it here.

It reminds me of the Switch. It was never available in my area. Finally someone posted one and I found out that they still had one in stock. The op took a lot of down votes on posting it but it helped me out.

From what I understand, this board has ultra premium VRM components which drive the cost up substantially. If you want a good board to overclock, get the best VRM you can find. This board has it.

its a good board but its also a midrange board and not the first gaming 7 gigabyte releases. they will most likely have a gaming 8 and a gaming 9 and an SOC which will be even more premium. If you need to know howe gaming 7 stacks against the rest you can take a look at the prior z270 and 170 gaming 7s.

I think this could be said about all the higher end z370s motherboards. Only one that really stands out is the msi godlike. But I'd want more for that price.

Z390s should bring the better boards. Oblivious it's better to wait unless you need to upgrade now.
