Stupid question. How do you guys handle a rejection from the idiots doing these rebates? Did a Kasper for Frys and taped the bottom flap to it as instructed and got a mailing saying no UPC. I always scan and keep a copy and indeed I even taped the flap to it. I asked for them to pull a copy of their scan and they refused. I asked where I send mine and they said you can't submit a copy. I said I'm not I already sent you the orginal. You can even see it taped in my scan.

I never had a issue w/ a kaspersky rebate but once with a fouled up norton rebate I only had to send my copy of the form and upc submitted. I have to wonder if kaspersky pulled funding for the rebates because of all the "backdoor" allegations and the 'fall offf a cliff' sales decline. I was a good product but I'm not sure I will use it again.

I have run into a stone wall like you but was able to send in a resubmission with an old copy of mine. Otherwise, you might need to file a claim through your state attorney general.

Free virus after rebate.
naive remark . . . here is step by step playbook for you

  1. In 2010 Kaspersky reviles the largest cyber attack virus [kaspersky.com] ever created and used by Israel called Stuxnet. This was a huge blow to Israel and illustrated to the world how Israel engages is cyber war.
  2. Over the years that follow Israel starts the massive payback campaign to taint the Kaspersky brand. As years go by none of the accusations are supported by a single fact.
  3. In summer 2017 Israel tells US government that they finally have something on Kaspersky. The US government reacts (just as we did when Israel told us about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq) and goes public about the ban of Kaspersky on government computers.
  4. The American public reacts in paranoia. Kaspersky offers to appear before the US Senate and testify in a public hearing on Sep 27. The hearing was then rescheduled by the committee.
  5. Till today Homeland Security has offered no evidence [csoonline.com] to support a single allegation, however the news keeps telling the American consumer that Kaspersky is bad.
  6. Now we are six months into the US government saying that Kaspersky is bad, yet the government is not willing to show us why or how. The negative propaganda campaign that was started by Israel is considered a success (just as the Iraq war), at the cost of the Americans.
  7. At the end the US government will provide no credible evidence (they would have done so by now if they hand anything at all), they will just keep spinning the propaganda until Kaspersky withdraws from US market. By that time we will all forget and move on, and the government will sweep this under the rug.

I am surprised that as Americans we have learned nothing about the credibility of Israels intelligence, and are still so quick to jump on the bandwagon of paranoia without demanding some concrete evidence about anything that comes from any outside intelligence agency. Because the last time we listened to Israel it cost us: $1.7 tillion, about 4,500 deaths and thousands wounded for life, ISIS.

So before i just on the "Kaspersky is bad train" i will need our government to provide some solid evidence to this propaganda bul $hit. Until then i will keep using the best antivirus software that is on the market. I don't work for the government so what's on my pc is of no use to anyone. However, last thing i want is to get some virus written my a teenager that deletes half of my hard drive for fun.

you also have recourse via Newegg or Frys, they'll often give you a GC if you provide proof of denial.

yeah heard it, but as pointed out other AV's never detected Stuxnet, btw Hillary's server, Sony and Equifax gave out more info than Kaspersky could possibly leak - if the gov't really had proof they'd indict or offer more than innuendo (Fast & Furious was brilliant investigation no?)

The big difference, which you apparently fail to understand, is that the Sony and Equifax hacks did not involve surreptitiously gleaning state secrets from NSA contractors and handing them over to a hostile foreign power. Do you realize there is a difference between corporate hacking and state-sponsored espionage? I guess not . . .

I believe the evidence you need will be revealed when the investigations are complete. In a high-profile investigation you don't release your evidence until you have gathered all of your proof. This is why attorneys wait until trial to make their case. I thought this would be obvious, but I guess not.

not all all, these same Cybersecurity "experts" could not/would not intervene although they claimed such knowledge - again either they have bad sources or don't want to burn them - either case they're not doing it for your benefit. yeah high profile cases never leak like Hillary's server, or Snowden - gimme a break. They could've issued a ban, or seized every retail copy of Kaspersky or held an immediate hearing behind closed doors like they do in many such cases, more importantly independent sources do NOT corroborate these rumors!.

And you're wrong Equifax outsources to offshore assets regularly and your main threat is losing this data or personal data to a script kiddie

And of course you know no blackhats, spooks or independent contractors work for any of the other AV companies right? cuz they've been fully vetted by offshore employers

I had Kaspersky Internet Security on my computer until yesterday. I was happy with it. They wanted like $50 to renew it. So, I got Norton Deluxe for cheap. So far, I'm not pleased with Norton. Seems to be a resource hog and doesn't block stuff that Kaspersky blocked. I also have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware premium to block malware. I'm really sick of all the virus and malware b.s. on Windows computers. I would like to get a Mac or run Ubuntu on my PC to avoid all the malware and virus issues.

I disabled Norton browser extensions in Chrome. Makes big difference. No more spinning blue arcs in tabs.
