NOTE: You must be eligible to purchase from the military exchange to partake of these deals. Details for eligibility available on their website, or link near bottom of post.

It's a shame this has to be said, but please be respectful of your fellow SD'ers who served and sacrificed as past and present members of the armed forces, and try to resist your urge to troll. Yes, it's frustrating when you don't get the same benefits for free that others worked for and earned, we understand that....and we also understand that not everyone could serve...but please show respect and don't down-vote JUST because you do not qualify and JUST out of spite. Judge the deal on it's merit and for it's target audience, don't be a troll.

Are you a veteran, but not an exchange member yet? Did you know the exchanges will be opening to all honorably discharged veterans starting November 11th? Head on over to https://www.vetverify.org/ and begin the verification process to sign-up! It's not only a nice benefit for veterans, but also a great boast to funding the MWR and other projects that shopping the exchanges helps facilitate.

You get thumbs down as does every other AAFES post because it isn't a universally available deal. You could basically post every item from the site on this site and say "hey everybody....look at this deal me and my friends can get". Not to mention the guy that has an alert set for the items posted that they can't buy from this site. Thumbs down are deserved in my opinion. Thank you for your service but your service to our country didn't "earn" you a discount to buy a television at a reduced price.
Actually it did Tom. That's why AAFES was created. Don't be jelly you troll.

Wow, it's crazy that you are being serious in writing this. But hey, that's what we fought and sacrificed for, and I'll respect your right to have your opinion. However, how is this different than a "student-only" deal, or an in-store only (when you have no stores within 100 miles, or the other "exclusive" type deals?
If it was up to me, I would let everyone partake in every benefit I receive for my sacrifice and service. And, if you got a deal I couldn't, I wouldn't begrudge you but be happy for your success. But hey, to each their own.

Not to mention the deal slickdeals themselves said was a great deal yesterday for the companion credit card but was only available to California residents. Yet that deal got a ton of thumbs up. According to this a hole everyone should have down voted it because he can't benefit from it himself. Don't let these assholes troll you. I'm sitting in my room from surgery I had 2 days ago for my spine that's military related so I'll go ahead and enjoy my discount lol. I think Ive earned it.

Seems like a sweet deal here. Would get one if I didn't buy a B6P a month ago. Repped!

Bought this TV a month ago at 1399. I thought at that price it was a good deal. This is now a SD. Word of caution. The SoC for Android TV seems to maybe be underpowered. Stock streaming apps work fine, but when trying one like Sling, I get judder. My Roku Ultra hooked up to the TV doesn't have this issue. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of. At $1099 it's a good bargain.

Anyway, this is a great deal. I bought a Sony 65" about 3 years ago. Would love the 4K upgrade, but don't think I need it yet. Thanks for posting.

Recover quick brother! I had my spine surgery just a few months ago (rucking and jumping and getting blown up took its toll on this old man, lol), finally over the unrelenting pain in arm and neck and it's nice to have feeling and use of body back again. Wishing you the best on speedy recovery!

Thanks man. I got mine from being a crew chief. Helicopters pretty much vibrated my spine into a mess lol.

Off track but the trolling is systemic of people with no skin in the game who gives a rats ass if a vet gets a break on a TV . Focus on your own stuff and be both grateful and gracious that 99.9% of the other slick deals don't require you to roll the dice.
