Direct2drive is part of gamefly family but they were first absorbed and then pushed back out to sell the pc side of games. They're legit but their support is shit. They commonly replace the executables on games so that you need to enter keys during install for online verification. The problem that many face now is that their online system or key generator is broken so reinstalling some games right now is broken and all they do is send a generic message that they'll have it fixed by sept 2017 (even in October). So ymmv?

Yes, it's legitimate. They are selling legal keys acquired from manufacturers and publishers, there's no shady grey-market keys or key reselling going on.

Direct2Drive was part of GameFly, but hasn't been since 2014. It was started by IGN in 2004. IGN sold it to GameFly in 2011, where it was renamed to GameFly Digital. GameFly sold it to AtGames in 2014, where it was rebranded as Direct2Drive again.

Oh yeah forgot about that sale. Wonder if that's why their support now is so crappy.
