I wish the frequency response was lower. I'm surprised to see it wasn't.

How does this sub compare to reference premier? I don't have much knowledge but hear a lot about r-112, r-115 etc

Put it in the corner and it'll thump. It's all about placement. Although it's still an entry level sub.

It's a crap sub even at this price.

Grab a Dayton Sub1200 brand new for about the same money (or less with coupon/sale)- better warranty, better sub, actually has a frequency response into the 20s.

Eeew..😳 it's definitely a budget sub, and like most budget subs even the ones that go into the 20s, theres still kinda of a dead spot at lower frequency. If the sub has a hard time thumping at 25hz why make it go that low. i would say both the dayton and the klipsch at the this price are pretty Comparable.
Imho.

These open box stuff can turn into a box of crap. Damaged, scratches, etc. If you like open box, I only do Crutchfield.

Not bad, i bought the wireless versions for $160 open box at besbuy a few months back. $140 is decent for the non wireless, i like the sound / power / quality for 10's in a small room. They are small/discreet and clean looking. But if u can go bigger get a polk 505 for a few $$ more

Imho.

They really aren't though in actual performance.

Klipsch isn't kidding with the 32Hz bottom end.

Neither is Dayton with the 25Hz one.

The Dayton has a larger driver, and a larger enclosure (which explains the deeper playback)- and it's nearly double the weight.... and while weight isn't an absolute indicator of quality in a sub, it's a decent proxy for it, especially on lower end stuff like this.

At the same price the Dayton is a significantly better sub than this thing.

Plus open box vs new, and 1 yr warranty on the Klipsch, 5 years on the Dayton.
