Good deal but I was weary of trying this as the rebate says 50 and 100 round cases. One of the reviews/questions on the 9mm that I ordered, earlier this weekend, mentioned that the rebate site wouldn't take the 1000 round case. I thought the 1000 round case came with 50/100 round cases inside. The tricky part though is that the invoice won't say 10x100 or 20x50. But that review had me questioning the risks vs reward.

I decided not to risk it and went with 19x50 round cases that put me just over $200 for the $20/$200 coupon + knowing that the rebate will work for an additional 25% off. Came out to $189 pre rebate for 950 rounds. I'm going to try and push the rebate through at the pre discount of $209 so I should get $52.25 back. Should come out to $.144/round which is good enough for me not to risk the rebate.

Just a word of cation as I am not sure about it. Any experienced rebaters in this area, please correct me.

Edit - I also wasn't sure if the 1000 round case would have the same UPC on the individual boxes as if they were bought separately. That may be something to confirm as well. I would assume they would but assumptions aren't always great to act on :/

Good point, but I don't think it will be an issue for the rebate, although I don't know for certain.

On their online rebate, you enter the UPC once & enter the quantity, cut out & mail in all the UPC's along with the filled out form and online receipt (although you are correct, it will say 1000/case.
Idk for sure but you may have to enter the UPC from the smaller boxes inside the case (the actual box of ammo).
The online form takes the UPC & shows the product to confirm it qualifies for the rebate (& how much it is). The rebate doesn't include the cost of extra fees like tax/shipping, just the purchase price.

What the heck are you guys talking about? A case has 20 boxes of 50 in it. You open the case and cut the UPCs from the 20 boxes of ammo in it and use those for the rebate.

I'm mainly refering to item B in the below. I have never done one like this and wasn't sure if it was going to be an issue. The invoice will not have the item that qualifies on it.

2. Print your completed rebate form and enclose in an envelope with the following required
documents:
a. Original UPC barcode(s) cut from product packaging. Example of UPC
b. Original store identified cash register receipt and/or dated itemized sales
invoice with purchase date, store name/location, purchase price and item(s) circled.
The rebate is for 50 and 100 round boxes. Yes I understand that the 1000 round case has 20/50rnd boxes in it. The invoice does not show a qty of 20 was purchase though.

Have you done this before? Honestly asking because it would have saved me a couple bucks. I just didn't want to risk it. Logically it would make sense to accept it but if the people approving/denying the rebates don't realize they are basically the same thing, will this cause issues?

No, I haven't personally done it. My purchases for this AE handgun ammo rebate were by the box. They were shipped to me by the case because I bought case quantities, but my paperwork shows the purchase of boxes. I haven't mailed in my submission yet though.

I wouldn't expect an issue on the AE handgun one if you had paperwork showing the purchase of a case, but you could call and ask.

For the 5.56/.223 rebate I have paperwork showing the purchase of cases but am sending in UPCs from the 20 round boxes. I haven't mailed in this one yet either though.

The 5.56/.223 rebate is spun as a per round rebate, so I don't foresee any issues there with paperwork showing the purchase of cases with my submission of UPCs from the 20 round boxes. The round counts between the two will match.

I bought 1000 round of 9mm from Brownell about a month ago. I cut out 20 UPCs. I sent the rebate in a little over 2 weeks ago. My rebate status says PENDING VERIFICATION.

So I ordered this .45 AE COPS ammo 1000/case and received the package today from Fed Ex.

To my surprise, I received 9mm AE ammo. I called Brownells and let them know, they told me to keep the ammo because they can't receive it back, due to DOT regulations. WOW!! I'll take that mess up all day long, as they are sending me my correct order - .45 AE COPS ammo.

Oh, they also sent me 2 packages of 100ct CCI .22 shorts that was with the 9mm ammo that I get to keep, too. LUCKY!

That worked out pretty well for you. Do you have anything that shoots 22 short?

Yes! I have a Henry .22 Rifle that I'll use them in. Very fortunate day for me.

I can confirm I got the rebate after ordering a case of ammo. They count it as 20 boxes. At least that's what I put into the rebate form. (I purchased this elsewhere as Brownells doesn't deal with MA).
