Samsung Laundry Pedestal - $230 each, free delivery with pair

I finally broke down from stooping too much and am buying the overpriced laundry pedestal. Sears seems to have the best deal at $230 per pedestal and free delivery and basic installation included for orders more than $399. I never see them going on sale, so this may be as good as it gets.

You also get $27 in Sears cashback per pedestal, and 5% with Chase Freedom

Wife and I are looking to replace our vintage-edition, 20-year old Maytag Neptunes so we've been shopping washers/dryers lately. I'd just like to state the obvious--- $250 for a pedestal (about the going rate for most machines these days) is a COLOSSAL RIP-OFF. And sorry OP, but $230 is ridiculous too.

Does anyone ever do a BOGO on the pedestals if you're buying a washer and dryer both? Then I might consider it.

I know it's ugly but couldn't you use any sort of short table to raise the washer/dryer? Cinder blocks and wood?

The appliance manufacturers have to be laughing all the way to the bank for the last 10 years. This fad of showpiece front loading washers that don't get clothes clean and get smelly and moldy over time, plus they can charge $230 for a metal stand for the washer they are selling for $1500. PT Barnum would be proud.

I'll stick with my top loader that gets clothes clean, is easier to load and unload without a $230 stand, is easier to fix, doesn't get moldy, and costs half as much.

Wait for next couple of months and you should get them on clearance for $49. I used a $15 off coupon at lowes with a cheap add-on and got 2 for $35 each. It is YMMV but not impossible. Of course $235 is a rip-off

I don't understand the down vote. If you have front loaders these are nice to have. I've been waiting quite a while for a deal and none cane along. Between the lower price and free delivery/installation this is already $130 less that elsewhere for a pai. If you have a top loader or a strong back, this is obviously not for you.

Can't understand the logic of paying that kind of money to raise your washer/dryer a bit. Unless you have your machines in the living room where it is a furniture piece then improvise....4x4/6x6 with a palate or plywood or some 1x6's

That's what I have.....cost next to zip....
