I have one and I love it. Because of the size It's probably only good for one person, maybe two. Great for warming frozen pizza without the preheat. Toast and leftovers.

This is great toaster, better than Cusinart or any overpriced bulky appliances

Totally different purposes. The Panasonic does one thing very well - Toasting/Crisping. Perfect for toast, reheating fried chicken, Pizza slices, very fast, very simple. A lot of folks who hate tech like this cause its so simple, small, and fast. I think it looks much nicer too, in a retro kinda way.

The Smart oven is designed to do everything & is very computerized.

I have one. It's pretty good. I do hate that there's no way to stop it from cooking while in process without pressing the power button. Many people report that's what fails first, and it makes sense from all the use. It is also a bit disappointing that it has no memory of any kind. Every time you use it you need to adjust the toast darkness level, cooking temp, etc. It also looks like pretty bad, but that's obviously subjective.

I forgot, also annoying that you can only set it to cook for 25 minutes. Need more than that and you have to wait until it ends and then start it again.

Mine seems to have memory of the last setting.

I just ordered mine. All those things you listed seems annoying and time consuming. We will see once it gets here. Hoping for the best!
