So it's a flash light, an expensive one.

well - Smilie - it's a portable monolight ! you will need several (~7-10 regular ?!) flashes to make up for what one in OP offers Wink rarely on sale + rebate is a sweet bonus ! and - believe ?! - battery/charger used to be an extra ! Rock

Great price for those who already shoot Profoto, great lights fill out their kit.
But for people like me who already shoot Einstein with vagabond I'm not really that excited.
The vagabond mini is already quite small and very powerful so I think I'll stick with that.
Truth is, if I had the extra money I would probably jump on this, just to mess around. But yeah, thats not gonna happen.

From a working photographer that own plenty of Profoto gear, it's totally overpriced.
Most people will be fine with a Godox/Flashpoint AD600. Shoot raw and you'll easily overcome the one advantage the Profoto has, which is color consistency across power settings. If you use one power setting for the entire shoot, there will be no Profoto advantage.

I use these almost daily. They are amazing - work with every other profoto modifier and they just work.

I've tried other brands, they all kind of work and have their ups and down. These lights just work, all the time - their only downfall is their price to buy in.

Plus you get high speed sync with ttl

you never find these at a discount unless you are in education.

220 flashes per charge? Does not seem like a lot.

it's 220 full power flashes @ 500 ws w/recycle time under 2 sec. (pretty impressive!) Wink unless you shoot outside - wide and trying to overpower the sun or in a really (really!!!) large venue, etc. - use of full power flash is rare ! Smilie would safely say, you can double or triple (stretch) number of flashes ! Rock

LED lightning has added a lot to photography, especially regarding power requirements. This seems a bit beyond my needs, but WOW! What constitutes a need for this? 😁
