I ordered last week should receive next wednesday (will update if still relevant). Was actually mentioned a while ago on the Groupon post for NEW google OEM which could still be relevant:

You can tell these are totally real, completely legitimate Apple Lightning cables because it says 'OEM' right in the eBay auction title and the seller swears he wouldn't lie.

You're definitely better off buying these than waiting for the Best Buy MFi certified Dynex cables to go on sale for two bucks again, like they do all the time.
sarcasm much Stick Out Tongue . thx for the hidden tips bro

I'd rather pay $8 for Amazon Basics iphone charger which lasts as long as the one that comes with the phone.

Great deal for the Google charger. Goes for $15 on Groupon when in stock: brick only. It's 18W, and therefore charges the switch at full rate.

Monoprice has great MFi cables and a lifetime warranty.
Don't always trust that "lifetime warranty" from Monoprice. I picked up a few, at a great price, and after the first several went bad, and replaced, they no longer would replace, only credit me the absurdly low price I paid for them on sale. They claim they "no longer carry that item" and will not substitute another MFI cable. Very poor customer service, I couldn't believe they would not substitute and for the original price I paid for them I could not use the credit to get another one. BTW- The cords did not last any longer than the imitation imports. Just my experience.

I haven't had an issue getting cables replaced. I had a years-old Lightning cable whose connector broke. Monoprice replaced it. I also had a new HDMI cable that was faulty, and they replaced it. At least they issued you a credit. Many companies would not.

Yeah, this is BS. Is it because the vendor paid SD, so we can't downvote? Scratchchin

Looks like you can downvote by clicking the "View Forum Thread" button. Still shady
Thanks for the tip. I'm still stuck b/c it shows "I've already voted" but at least it's negative now. It was +9 when I commented.

I downvoted from all the comments. I bought this last week before this was posted. I just received it. I am not sure how I can tell if its real or not. It looks as legit as it can get. Any advice? Should I scrap it and not even try? Are you only talking about apple product maybe google is different?
