I like this deal - however I wish it was at least the 2015 model with the slightly better display. I have been contemplating getting an imac retina - but I am leaning towards a 2017 model (at 2x the price!) due to the better processor and display.

I do wish Apple had SSDs as the standard - instead of Fusion drives. Either way - this is a good deal - thanks for posting.

Slickdeals confuses me sometimes. People made the previous deal FP despite higher mark up but they dont seem to like the cheaper deal this offers? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Damn it I got this at 1200. Fyi It is in fact Apple refurb. It has the unlabeled white box inside the brown box both exactly wedge shaped.

Follow up on my first post:
I ordered Wednesday around noon, was on my front porch by Friday afternoon, with free shipping. Wedge shaped outer brown box and obvious Apple inner white box, so I sure think it's an Apple refurb.
High Sierra already installed, not a scratch on the machine.
Interestingly, although the product description said a wired full size keyboard with numbers, it came with an Apple wireless keyboard. Also had a Magic Mouse 1 in the same box.
Overall, I'm perfectly satisfied. I think the reason this deal isn't getting any love is because there is apparently a new Apple product that became available this week Smilie
EDIT: My bad, it was Yosemite installed, upgrading now.

I've bought several from this seller before. They must have some acquisition deal for refurbs that are taking up warehouse space because these products are all genuine, Apple refurbs. Typical Apple white boxes and thankfully, one-year Applecare warranties.
