Best printer long term?

Laser Printer? Brother or Dell, Canon? What lasts longer? Good toner cost? My volume is fairly low currently.

People sticking with multifunction? I do use scanner function pretty heavily. I don't use fax ever.

HP is very reliable for long term use. It depends on the features and your needs for a printer. Do you need color? That will come down to looking at the replacement toner costs to see if quality vs. cost is met. I don't think one brand is particularly better for long term use since each model stand on its own. Figure out what your budget is and check out reviews to decide what you want.

I know this is an older thread, but I'm looking to buy a monochrome laser all-in-one soon, and Brother is among the brands I'm favoring. I worked in an office for years that used the HL-2270DW printers, and added a couple copiers based on the same design. I was under the impression that these, and most Brother products using the TN450/660 cartridges, were pretty bullet-proof. Could you share a little more info?

Thanks in advance!
