I hate the flex heads. What are they good for? Maybe I'm not thinking outside the box.

A flex head wrench is convenient when we just can't swing a regular wrench left or right because of objects getting in the way. A flex head can almost replace an offset wrench and a stubby wrench.

These are great. I bought both metric and sae years ago during black friday for I think $35 a set and have used them a lot. I've seen them advertised most years for in-store black friday deals at the $35 price point still. The flex head can be kind of tricky in some situations, but for the most part is awesome for getting into tighter spots.

$40 a set is a great deal if you dont want to deal with BF shenanigans.

Me, too. Got the reversible SAE/metric ones at same time.
Opened a Sears card for another 15% off, last time I used it! Poor Sears. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Bought Metric and SAE sets for $26.99 each on 12/4/2011. I think I used one of the wrenches once.

Good price great brand. Im not a personal fan of the flex head as it kind of messes up my rhythm sometimes when im loosening a nut off of a long bolt but it can help with awkward angles and tight spots. My personal favorite gearwrench is the double boxed end 12mm on one end 13 on the other. or 7/16 and 1/2 those seem to be handiest to me as I need a variety of sizes but I use gearwrench daily at my job and would suggest them to anyone.

I am impressed. I can't remember when I bought something several months ago let alone almost 6 years. Apparently they were that price last year in early november.

They're great at getting to nuts inside the box when you're outside the box.

I have a set of non-flex head that were absolutely time-saving for installing some motor mounts and some doing some work under an intake manifold of my car. Some flex heads would probably have made it easier.

Not quite as good as the earlier-in-the-year prices of $30 or $28, but if you need some now, it would be worth not waiting.

I have several Gearwrench sets and because of sometimes unwanted flexing the flexheads go untouched unless I absolutely need them, but they are a godsend for those times when nothing else will do to access that rare odd hard to reach fastener.

They do make locking flexheads, but the price is prohibitive.
