Have one of these. Florida. These definitely kill many many bugs. But, but... mosquitoes are not attracted to it at alll without the additional chemical they come with. So, we always need to replenish that, no big deal, it then indeed attracts and kills mosquitoes too, but, but... it attracts bugs so well that bugs that previously had zero interest in your area can't help going to it, so definitely do not make the mistake of placing it close too close to where _you_ want to be because invariably you worsen your situation. Also, think about whicj direction the bugs would mainly come from (nearby woods, alleys, etc) because you want to avoid being a pit stop along the bug's journey to da-preddy-light. In my case, while it felt great to hear the melodic zapping, I really felt it didn't reduce the mosquitoes that got to me and my family in any significant way, despite my being aware of everything I just mentioned. Perhaps my location's layout has to with it. Anyhow, I did not achieve true late-afternoon outside-ability here till I bought a propane fogger (check reviews for a cheap good one, many current ones have issues). Fog your area half an hour before you go out, and bam, several hours of zero stings. Plus, oddly enough, fogging doesn't seem to affect as many of the good bugs (yes, those exist, lol) as the lamp does.

I've been looking at these as well. Picked up a couple Stinger 1.5 acre for $9 ea and a bunch of lures for $1 ea. so I'm not sure if I'll bite on these. Be sure to check brickseek first to see if there are better deals.

These work great. Bulb only is good for a few years though. The sizzle is satisfying!!!!!

Got 2 for shipping even though I could have picked it up in 2 days at store as well. Saves a trip and Walmart possibly telling me we sold out here.

Go bigger. The little one is too small.

Only gripe with it is that it doesn't turn itself off during the day. I had to buy a timer for it.
