Looks like the same deals that are always out there that involve trading a phone that's worth nearly the same (or more) as what they're giving you. Plus, you'll actually have to be able to get your hands on an iPhone X, which might be difficult. I fail to see the deal here...and I'm not hopeful there really will be many deals on the X through the end of the year while supply is constrained.

I just upgraded through Apple. I said to myself paying off the rest of the loan and selling privately or trading through Verizon I net only $50-$60. Not really worth the hassle dealing with shipping (private selling) and if I were to buy it on Verizon it would only be credits and risk of something getting messed up through the account or not getting my order on time.

Hope Costco will offer the $300 gc. Prefer that over the hard-to-get monthly credits.

Nobody wants the notch eyesore anyway. Just the rabid fanboys which are less and less every year.
I don't use iOS, much prefer Android, but wait and see how many they sell and then ask yourself who the fanboy is.

Which is fine, but doing slightly worse than selling your own phone hardly qualifies as a hot deal.

Trying to decide between this and a 65" 4k flat screen. And what to do with my other 6 iPhones that seem to do the same thing. First world problems.

$300 trade in, is NOT a good deal for the iphone 6s and newer. You can typically sell for that(or more) and these trade ins are bill credits for Sprint and Verizon, which mean you are locked in for years.

When the Iphone 7 came out, the trade ins were worth up to $650.

2 years. For the trade in worth up to $650 was to just get rid of the 7s.
