we have this. my son loves ripping the top off and throwing it. ah, 2 year olds.

Yeah the lid just rests on the top. There is a Grove so it does lift up but nothing to stop your kid from pulling it off. My 11month old rips it off in one sec. Then my 3 years old dumped it upside down, emptied out the toys and used it as a fort.

Have this. It's good. Though I wish the lid could be locked in. My daughter seems to accidentally take off the lid when lifting it up more often than not.

Looks like this is a very good price for this item.

The last deal on this one was back in July 2017 when it was available for $40.56 (the White and Blue color) from Walmart In-store pickup. I had bought it then and has many of my son's toys organized (actually, dumped) in it. Has a lot of storage space inside it that can accommodate differently shaped big and small toys alike.
