does anyone know if it has a local web server built in so that if i am at home, i can open a browser and view the video? I may not want to always use a mobile app to connect and i may want to interface it with my zwave hub, etc.

It says this:
"-Secure AWS Cloud Storage: WyzeCam uses end-to-end encryption for uploading and storing alert videos in the AWS cloud."

f that, i dont want to even have the cloud option.

I want to locally on my desktop open the LOCAL link/ip to the camera and be presented with a web server to login to and see the live video feed. if it doesn't have that, then it's not worth a damn.
It is Wi-Fi, can't you just build your own or grab a cheap DVR to hook up to the network?

not sure what you are asking or stating

if there is no way to locally grab the image/mjpeg than what good does a DVR have to do with it?

I wrote them on facebook and they confirmed there is no web server on it

i am not seeking a web server for purposes of anything but a means to acquire the image being streamed.

My thoughts exactly when I saw this. Looks exactly like the XiaoFang.

Looks like they are doing a PR blitz today. While I'm mildly interested, I am going to hold off for now.

What they need to do to win me over
1. ONVIF & RTSP streaming over the local network
2. A wired connection with POE
3. The ability to turn off the cameras access to their servers if desired.
