Don't receive e-mail alerts

I have never receive e-mail alerts from any deal even though I have checked my deal alert settings and my e-mail spam folder.

Please see my e-mail alerts below:



Could a staff member please help?

Hi Im2bz2p.

How long have you had these Deal Alerts set up? Taking a quick peek at search, there was a thread I think should have triggered your price mistake alert a few days before your post here but for the other two, it looks like there hasn't been anything in at least several months.

I've taken a look at your account and don't see anything that should be preventing you from receiving the emails. Have you been receiving the alerts by the other notification methods (forum popups / mobile)? Are you receiving other emails from Slickdeals like thread subscription updates?

There's a couple of things you might try on your end to test things. You can temporarily set up a Deal Alert for something extremely common, like with just 'amazon' as a keyword and no set rating threshold. Also, if you have a second email account available, you can try switching to that temporarily to see if you receive the alert emails there.

To answer your questions in order:

The HEB deal alert, I just setup recently (within the last week or so), but the other two deal alerts.. those have been setup since I created my account here.

I receive forum popups for PM's and deal alerts (I never had "forum popups" as a deal alert option because I mainly want to receive an e-mail notification, but I tried it recently and that works).

I have one subscribed thread, but I have never receive any e-mail alerts from it.

I tried changing my e-mail address from my previous yahoo one to a gmail one, confirmed the e-mail, then set a temporary deal using the amazon criteria you mentioned.. and VIOLA... I got an e-mail deal alert!

Can you check if there is something wrong on the back end with my yahoo e-mail? I would prefer to receive e-mails there. I can PM you it.

A quick update: I tried to switch my e-mail back to my yahoo one and never even received a confirmation e-mail... even tried to have it resend it, with no luck.

I checked my spam/trash folders as well.. nothing from slickdeals... I have no rules/filters in place on my e-mail either, so there is definitely something going on the back end.

Not sure what the problem could be, but I was forced to switch my e-mail to gmail now since I didn't get a yahoo confirmation e-mail and SD would not let me post due to "insufficient privileges."

Hi Im2bz2p.

I've spoken with a couple of people from our dev team and there's nothing on our end that would be blocking your email. Apparently, these types of problems aren't completely unheard of, particularly with yahoo and a couple of other services. You could try contacting Yahoo for further support but for now, the best solution would be to stick with your gmail account since we know that works. It may be possible to set up a filter on Gmail to automatically forward emails from Slickdeals to your yahoo address but I can't speak to whether or not those would also fail to be delivered.
