Just fyi this discrete gpu is only marginally better than untrue current igpu. Do not consider this laptop for gaming other than basic titles or medium to lower settings on newer titles. Just a PSA

From what I've been seeing, getting an i7-8550U instead of the i5-8250U adds $200 to the price, and you only get about 5-10% better performance.

4-5 hours max with normal use even with SSD in there. Luckily the laptop charges pretty quick.

Sorry, but your PSA is just flat out wrong. The MX150 is close to performance of a 950M, while the integrated Kaby lake 8th gen igpu is about a 910M/920M. For example, Fire Strike score on MX150 is around 3100 while UHD 620 is around 1100, almost 300% difference. Just look it up on notebookcheck.

Actually wrong again, MX150 scores 1925 vs UHD 620 scores 1150 - this is not extremely close. MX150 is almost twice as fast even in Passmark, which is not a good test for GPUs anyway.

The MX150 is far superior to just using the Intel chip alone by itself. Its not for super intensive gaming, as it is made for ultrabooks, but I would rather have it than not. Particularly for photo and video editing. Plus even though this is an entry level gpu, its the newest one and not something from the discount bin from last year.
