This sounds like a good price. Is this the best for the price point?

she said you are saving $40 on the combo which you can put towards the memory.
,

Yeah I'm tempted as the last computer I built (and use) was five years ago. It has DDR3 Memory but everything else should work just fine. I was just wondering if there were any other micro ATX deals out there. The limited searching I did didn't show anything. I may wait for Black Friday since my older build hasn't blown up yet. That and I'm moving at the beginning of November so I might as well wait.

This is a really good deal. A combo for less than the price or a Ryzen 1200.

If I remember correctly,
Intel Pentium G4600 + H110 + DDR 3 RAM would still outperform the overclocked AMD A8-9600 both in CPU and GPU benchmarks.

If I wanted a typical PC, I would go with a Pentium. If I wanted to do anything with graphics including Photoshop I would go with the A8 9600... of course assuming you arnt willing to spend more.

I ended up ordering it as well as this ram: https://www.ebay.com/itm/382231548878

This will be a good upgrade for my current Micro ATX box.

This processor is slower than a core iAnything and uses expensive ram to boot. The new hyperthreaded pentiums are better.

This is a slower processor but you can start with this and have an open path for future upgrade since the board works with any Ryzen cpu.

Correct but you won't find that for $100. Also H110 is an outdated platform. On the other side AM4 will last till 2020. So its more future proof.

Don't laugh too hard. My plex server is a core 2 duo. I'd love to upgrade to something that uses way less electricity for just serving files.

Core 2 duos are nice processors . I've had many of them and always liked them .
