Ok so looks like Jet has price matched amazons earlier price drop. Also since the amazon thread has expired i have provided the Google express option below that i had mentioned in that thread

Option1 (Buy direct from Jet):
Logitech Harmony Smart Control w/ Harmony Hub [jet.com] - $66.79
Note: You have the option to waive free return for $1.xx discount

Option 2 (Purchase from google express w/ 25% off coupon):
Logitech Harmony Smart Control w/ Harmony Hub [google.com] - $60 AC
Note: If you have the discover 10% or 20% GE promo then that will stack with the above. Further if you order a google mini with this option then you will receive a $25 back coupon for walmart via google express.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

What is the difference between this version and the $149 one?

The $149 version has RF control, which means your signal doesn't stop at the cabinet door. IR is good, but without a repeater and knowing exactly where the IR port is on each device, you can have signal interference that causes some components not to turn on. RF goes through everything (most everything) so you don't have that problem.

If your components are out in the open, there's no need for RF.

I'm referring to the one at JET [jet.com], the google express one just says "whole home remote" without explanation.

I have this model and it's RF... Both models have the same hub, the only difference is features in the RF remote.

Wrong. They are both RF. The expensive one has a fancy remote

Not a fan of the basic remote. The buttons are small and not backlit. I also have an elite and a 650 and prefer both remotes to this one. The smart hub is decent but not quite reliable to use with Google Assistant.

Isn't the this the original 194 hub which doesn't support wifi control of equipment? Logitech was supposed to release a firmware update to add the capability but I'm not sure they made it public.

I have an 880 and 900....i even like this remote better than the one...the keys feel better to me....but I also tend to use my echo dot rather than the remote itself

Got that same deal today, shipped by Walmart. Should have it Thursday. I have the 700 now. I figure if I don't like this one I'll just return it to Walmart. But I wanna be able to use it with Alexa.

If I didn't use HELP button all the time, I would buy this, but it's a downgrade from 650/700.
The only thing seems to be ability to add couple of voice commands which isn't much helpful when you are watching things in the middle of the night, maybe if we could give commands via our cellphone, that would be cool. Also no backlit.

I heard someone say you can press and hold activity to turn it into HELP button, is that true?

The remote looks a little different from the $149 Harmony Companion. This model is not listed on Logitech site for some reason. https://www.logitech.com/en-us/ha...al-remotes

Pulled the trigger on it. $63.20 shipped with Google Express, no tax in WA. Will see if I like this better than my Harmony 900. Mostly looking to use this with a smartphone / tablet.
