Table and chairs for $60, what are people really expecting?

Solid wood, and possibly made by Whalen, a brand also sold at costco and their products look of good quality from what I've seen. I bit, because Mainstays doesn't normally have solid wood products. I am expecting this to NOT be made of pressed wood, or MDF.

Most reviews complain of being heavy, which I am taking as a plus (the solid wood part).

BHG is NOT a better brand in my experience, despite initial appearances.

Stay away from cheap Mainstays. Good for use and throw items only. Have horrible experience for most of their products.

Keep in mind they appear to be saying just the chairs (and possibly even just the "seat" portion of the chair) are made of solid wood - they make no such claims about the table.

If this is still on sale in a month, I may need to jump on it for some temporary usage. Until then, I am in a hover mode and just sort of watching what happens with it.

As others have stated, Mainstays is generally not your highest quality brand. If this is for an apartment or something temporary, go for it. If you want this to be the centerpiece of fine dining, I am guessing you can find significantly better.
