I've been cutting my hair for the last 15 years, maybe on my second set of Wahl clippers after I lost one in a move. I'll be honest, I have never used this stuff and I doubt I ever will. I've never run into issues with my never-oiled clippers. Still cut as good as new. But to each their own.

I have a couple of cheap clippers that i use occasionally but when I apply a drop of oil to them I hear a noticeable difference in the speed of the motor due to the decreased friction between the blades. Might not be much of an issue for nicer ones but at least on mine it does seem to help a bit.

We can start a club. Don't think you need this stuff. 18 years, 2nd clipper, never oil, no issues.
Only needed the 2nd set because the clippers out lived the marriage.

Can't you just use mineral oil? Or baby oil?

Mineral oil would probably be most comparable. Just convenience of the tube really.

Dropper a few drops right on the teeth periodically. Doesn't require much.

So it doesn't have to hit every tooth right just a couple drops in random spots? I feel like I sound stupid but I've never needed clippers. Haha

If you click the Amazon link to the product page, there is a helpful diagram illustrating where to apply the oil.

Yeah it's like any oil/grease, you toss it in a few spots, turn it on, twist it, whatever...and it spreads around by itself.
