I've played a lot of DiRT 3 and I freakin' love it. Word is, graphically this doesn't look that much better than DiRT 3 but this iteration of DiRT is way more realistic. They put great effort in the physics engine and car behavior.
Here's an example of a real rally driver playing the game:
"Professional rally driver and former Australian Junior National Rally Champion Will Orders driving the Bidno Moorland stage in DiRT Rally. What did he think of the game? He said the AWD cars felt spot on, especially the Fiesta WRC, but the RWD cars needed work. He hated the FWD cars, but he hates them in real life too."

Buy a racing wheel though. Basic game controllers don't do it justice. Also, recommend getting a decent sized 21:9 monitor - made a huge difference in immersion and viewing area over my 40" 4k 16:9 display, even at a much crappier 1080p resolution.
