Not to thread crap and this has been posted many times but remember that the ID distance of these cameras and the Arlo Pro at 720p is about 5 1/2 feet. A person's face literally has to be 5 1/2 feet from the cameras lens in order for the cops to identify them. These cameras are best used for monitoring indoors or if you only want to be aware of activity in a certain area outside. No where you would want to hang these easily removable cameras would be anywhere close enough to actually ID a perp. And then there is the crappy batteries, lag time for video to start recording, etc....

As an alternative I recently purchanged a LaView NVR with 2x2MP ans 2X4MP POE dome cameras for $299, 4TB hard drive for $100, and paid a local installer $200 to run cables and install the cameras for me. $600 bucks total, no rechargeable batteries to replace, 24/7 recording, way better night vision, and a 16 foot ID distance on the 4MP cameras. Think before you spend your money.

5 per base for free, 6+ has a monthly fee... so 6+ should be split to 2 accounts to avoid fees (and you can still see all cameras in app, under 1 account, after setting up privileges).

Be aware this isn't even the pro let alone pro 2

I have been using these cameras since last November and they work very well. I bought the 5-camera kit and been very pleased with them. The cameras are easy to mount, and the app for the camera system is easy to use.

I'm a huge fan of the Arlo cameras and this looks like a great deal, but I'd wait for the Arlo Pro to drop in price. The Arlo Pro was a significant step up from the original Arlo. It also looks like the Arlo Pro 2 is a significant step up from the Arlo Pro (its now 1080p and has some new features while it's plugged in). The price of these cameras are going to continue to drop, and eventually they are going to want to clear Arlo Pro stock as well. I bet there will be some killer deals for BF

The free cloud storage is actually included when the 6 cameras are purchased within a system. I discovered this after purchasing smaller kits and adding on. This alone makes the 6 pack a good deal.

No, the 6 pack is not a good deal. This late in the game, the HD are not really worth it, go with the Pro. And for the 6 on one account, you can make multiple accounts and link them all to the same app so the 5 vs. 6 limit is a non issue and a +1 limit adds no real value imo.
