Depends on what you can afford, this is a great phone for a kid or back up. If you're looking for better specs/power sure it is. But not everyone wants to spend $300 on a phone.

Grabbed a couple at Wally during the $35.00 clearance and they're really nice budget phones. Many have had GPS problems with this model. I believe it works on all US carriers. I think the $40.00 E4 is the better phone and better deal if you know how to get it working on whatever service you have.

If your spending $300.00 for a Moto E4 you're not a very good slickdealer!!!SmilieSmilie

The E4 Plus is a much better phone. E4 non plus is comparable to the G4 Play but you can usually get the E4 for around $40ish

Yes but....

the prepaid Verizon phones require you use their prepaid plan for 6 months, which is $240 before it can be unlocked.

Is there a way to unlock it upon purchase for TMO or AT&T? If not, you really need to factor in the cost of using it for 6 months on VZN before proclaiming it's a great deal.

That's not correct. You should read the thread (at least the OP and Wiki) on the Verizon PP Moto E4 here on SD - https://slickdeals.net/f/10418732-select-walmart-stores-16gb-moto-e4-verizon-prepaid-smartphone-39-90-w-free-store-pickup?v=1

The E4 is 129 unlocked at Best Buy, same price as this one. Comes with fingerprint and 7.1.1

I've been on Cricket for the last two years with no complaints but the Simple $37.50 6gb LTE plan does look pretty good.
