The Sixes have great reviews. I wonder how they compare to the KEF X300A or the Adam A7's. I've been considering of upgrading my Swan MKIII's for awhile.

Trying to pull the trigger. Plan to use them as desktop speakers for music mostly.

I bought OB speakers from them before and when I got them I thought they were brand new.

Same for me, open box was new sealed box..
I had heard that they must sell "open box status " because they are selling below manufacturer's price guidelines. Not sure how true, but my purchase ended up being brand new.

The open box items I've gotten from Buydig have all been like new. Actually, I think they might have been new. I'm guessing my maybe they just call them as open box so they can sell it for less without getting in trouble with the manufacture. It's worth noting that it says they come with a 1-year warranty too instead of 90-days like most open box items.

For what it's worth, there's a handful of open box pairs of The Sixes on eBay from an authorized dealer with the same 1-year warranty for $450. I've been watching the listings for a few weeks now and every time it sells out they list more. Seems to be a lot of "open box" Sixes at the moment.

I don't own either the X300A or the A7X's but from what I've read about them they're totally different speakers than The Sixes. The Sixes are the most "normal" sounding Klipsch speaker I've heard. They don't really have the horn sound like more Klipsch speakers do. But they do keep the very dynamic sound that most Klipsch speakers have. That's what I think would probably really set them apart from the extremely flat sound of the Adams. The larger 6.5" drivers on The Sixes are also going to be way more powerful than the 5.25" drivers in the KEFs. The Sixes make the R-15PM with 5.25" drivers look and sound tiny. None of that is say that The Sixes are better than the other two (like I said I haven't heard either of them), just that they're different. I think for anything nearfield the KEF's will probably be better. For professional use the Adam's are the only one of the worth considering. And for filling a room with sound The Sixes are more than capable.

I have bought open box from them several times. In most of those cases they are just selling the product below mfg minimum price and cant call it new. The box was never opened. In one case it was truly "open box", but I knew that before I ordered due to an even lower price on my item.

Mmmmm! Sick looking and pretty great sounding powered speakers.

If I'm honest, I think a SlickDealer can probably hit a better point in the value curve (sound_quality/price) than this, but it's definitely not going to be this pretty.

If I hadn't found a steal on some KEF Q100s and that they pair excellently with an amp that was collecting dust, I'd have jumped on this deal.

If you're in the market for quality powered (no amp required) speakers that look like a midcentury masterpiece, think hard about this one and give our OP some rep like I have.
