Red Wing Men's Heritage Beckman Round 6" Boot has various sizes of the Black Cherry for $250 and under. I picked up a 10 and 9.5 as I've read extensively into these boots and seems they consistently run large (I usually wear a 10.5) and will pay to return the 1 that doesn't fit best. These are on par with quality of the Iron Rangers from everything I've read.

Is that a good deal?

What is special about Red Wing? I know them to be reputable, but I don't know why.

That is soooo wrong!
1. You must be living in a State where you are going to wear boots more than 70% of the time of the year in order to justify this purchase; at least imho.
2. Read this: I picked up a 10 and 9.5 as I've read extensively into these boots and seems they consistently run small (I usually wear a 10.5) and will pay to return the 1 that doesn't fit best.
It sounds to me that you are going to return BOTH of them... lol... wait, you're also going to pay for it?? someone please kill me!
Or you live in a state where you wear this boot 35% of the year and it last twice as long as you are thinking.... I don't understand your comment. I wanted a good quality leather boot to for work, so I read into many options and my research lead me here.

I own a good pair of hiking boots that cost equally as much that I don't wear all the time, its about investing in quality footwear that is known to last, be comfortable, and is there when you need/want it.

Red wings are very comfortable and seem well made, most are made in USA with some of the cheaper models outsourced, being said that I have purchased several for work boots and none are in comparison to their comfort but I have had some problems with them falling apart after extensive use... Warehousing... If they are casual wear then I would approve but workboot not so much.

I've just been looking into a lot of different leather boots that I want to last, these are known to use high quality leather that will keep up with time and also are resoleable for when the sole wears out on them.

I'm not sure whether ayrtonvieyra1's post was in jest or not. Also I think the OP didn't get part of what jottect was saying. You noted that these consistently run small. That means if you order a size 10, it's going to feel more like a 9.5. So you should have ordered shoes that were bigger than what you normally wear, not smaller. That's why he said he thinks you'll be returning both pairs.

Thanks! Its a mix between casual wear and work when I need to go into the field. I don't anticipate heavy mileage day in and day out. Just a comfy boot for day to day use. Also have a pair of boots already and will likely rotate them.

Nice boots! I bought a pair of Allen Edmonds Higgins Mill last year or I'd be all over them.

And I disagree that you need to wear boots 70% of the time. At least up here in Michigan, fall and winter is boot season 😀.

Take care of these boots and they'll last a long time. Goodyear welted so you can replace the sole when it wears out too!

Ah thanks! Was just a super off-putting comment. I see what he meant now, I meant to put they run large.
