I hope this cap works better than their standard cap. That thing falls off if you look at it the wrong way. And then you bleed to death.

Or $1 at any and all dollar stores.
Are those X-acto or some off brand? Assuming the latter, do you know if the collet-type blade holder is plastic, or metal. We've had several discussions on SD over that. The plastic can be damaged much more easily, and when force is being used can brake which is a very bad thing when using a razor sharp blade.

BTW is the dollar store ones are X-acto brand or even made with a metal collet-type blade, that would be a very nice deal.

Or not.
Better not. For open boxes, cutting the tape, dirty job, rough cuts etc etc - for most basic needs sure you can use this "made in Big C" crap any day.
But if you r looking for a good tool to get a good result, then do not buy tools from dollar store. Ever again.

Knife is $2.40 right now, even better price. I got half of dozen of them and will buy one more right now. Thanks OP Applause

Ordered one from Amazon for $2.40 and one from seller name Kishkaloaf for $1.05 (limit one per customer) [amazon.com]. $3.30 incl taxes and free shipping/prime for two (2) X-Acto knives.

$1 here

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...L27AD1W73G

it's one per order but you can place multiple orders and the total is not enough for free ship credits . . .

False. The Dollar Tree near me does not carry X-Acto knives.
