I wonder if they'll match the JetBlue Mosaic status that I got earlier this year by status matching the Southwest Companion Pass?

It worked!

Congratulations! You entered our exclusive California status match promotion, and have now officially qualified to earn promotional Rapid Rewards® A-List status through December 31, 2017.

Extend your new A-List status through December 31, 2018, by booking and flying three round trip flights (or six one-ways) between your enrollment date and December 15, 2017. Please note that any previously booked reservations will not qualify towards the promotion.

We look forward to welcoming you onboard soon!

Have a great day!

Anywhere you could use companion pass to match something and then back to this? I know the JetBlue promo is expired.

haha, yeah that too.

But more accurately, Southwest doesn't have assigned seat numbers so you can sit in the front of the plane or the back of the plane, or middle aisle or window seat. They board in 3 groups, A - B - C. Each group has 60 numbers, so you can be A1-A15 which is called the business class (no special seats, you just get to board the plane right after pre-boarders)

then you have A16-A60, and then family boarding then B and then C, so with no assigned seats, getting a good seat helps if you're A list.

Added bonus for points and also for A list preferred you get free wifi ($8 otherwise)
