I was eyeing this before it went FP...Anyone have one that can comment on its beer bottle/can storage capacity? I need a new beverage refrigerator and love the retro look of this thing.

The colours are nice, the coral matches my LeEco phone...
How much for the bottle opener only?

So tempting. We wanted a mini-fridge and freezer for the master bedroom, and wanted something larger . . . but this is so cute!!!!! (I am guessing my husband will not agree that is a good reason to buy it).
wont the compressor wake you up?

I would think that this isn't the only reason one would NOT want a fridge in their bedroom, but to each their own I guess.... unless you're using it to keep medication and/or need to keep things sequestered behind a locked door, I can't think of any reason I would want a refrigerator in my "master bedroom", or any bedroom really unless there's literally nowhere else for it to go, like in a dorm.

But to answer your question, I don't recall any dorm fridge ever keeping me up with compressor noise when I had one in college. The minifridge we picked up from BB on a deal a year or so ago is so quiet that you barely notice it when it cycles on. I presume most of these use the same guts, but I guess it's possible that different brands have different noise levels.

So many mini fridge deals popping up this week. Have any of them been decent candidates for a kegerator?
Get a chest freezer and build a collar. The 99 chest freezer the other day would be a great candidate. Chest freezer + plug style thermostat controller is super easy. Set the temp and it turns the power supply on/off, don't have to mess with upping minimum temp or anything and allows you to position thermo sensor exactly where you want.

Thanks OP. I needed a ridiculously impractical - but way too cute - birthday gift for myself. I went with the coral. It matches nothing and I don't care. Smilie

Is this a real fridge with a compressor or just a fancy peltier powered icebox?

Unless you want to use it as a decoration, there are better deals for about the same price and you get more room. Also, I would want to know what the cooling system is on this. I got an Insignia 2.6 cu ft, for just a bit more about a year ago when there was a good sale on it. Keep in mind that 1.6 is really small. You're looking at some cans of soda and a few small food items.
