I paid $299 a few weeks ago for an open jaw from LAX to Manila, and returning from Singapore, on United/ANA.

Momondo.com is the worst because they associate with disreputable second party travel agencies. Bait and switch is common. Just read up and ignore the hundreds of fake reviews out there.

You don't need to actually book with those disreputable second party travel agencies. Just ask Orbitz/Expedia/Priceline to price match them. They usually respond with an approval or denial within the 24 hour cancellation window.
