Last time this was posted, it got great feedback. I installed a set for my neighbor and they love it

The last time it was on sale back in July: https://slickdeals.net/f/10394192-bio-bidet-uspa-6800-luxury-bidet-seat-249-99-costco?src=SiteSearchV2_SearchBarV2Algo1

the only thing to be aware of is it requires seat bolt holes that go through the toilet, I was installing it on a one-piece that had a strange seat design and I had to jerry-rig some washers to get it working (fault of the toilet, not the seat)

No its not. You can get a basic bidet model that just squirts your poop shoot for $30.

Bidets are awesome, but you don't have to spend $250 for one unless your home isn't climate controlled and you have ice water or something.

I have this one; goes on sale for $30 now and then:
https://www.amazon.com/Bidet-Neo-...ords=bidet

Works fine.

Poop.

Squirt your butt.

Wipe off with toilet paper.

Voila; clean enough to eat off of.

Let's contextualise this; for "$30" you get:

- Cold water only
- No moving head (you'll have to dance on the toilet for coverage)
- No drying (swamp butt)
- No child safety (it is trivially easy to active, and leave running the mechanical ones; hide the wireless remote on the real ones)
- Solid water spray (instead of aerated, which makes it feel harsher)
- No heated seat

I've owned both. If you want the "real" Japan bidet experience buy a TOTO Washlet (e.g. C or S range). The mechanical ones are fine for testing the concept, but between cold water, non-moving head, solid water spray, and no drying you may find the experience so unpleasant that it puts you off bidets forever.

But that being said, I'd take the $30 one in a heartbeat over nothing at all... Bidets just work too darn well.

Which Kohler one piece do you have? If it is Gabrielle, Rialto, Persuade, Reve, San Raphael, Santa Rosa or San Souci, it will not fit.

We have a list here of some popular toilet models that we have found: http://www.biobidet.com/size-shape.htm

It has a tank on the inside that will store water and heat it up, it has about a minute's worth of water to store.

Personally I use the bidet to get the funk off, and dry up with paper.

If anyone is on the fence about buying one of these, don't be. If you have the money, this will be the best investment next to switching from bathroom tissue to flushable wet wipes.

Just a reminder to check the measurements of your toilet(s):
--If it is narrow between bowl & tank (ala American Standard Cadet 3) it will look awkward
--If you have a curved tank, it likely will not fit at all

Otherwise, would you clean your car with dry tissues or a proper washing? Wash on.

You think the install would be hard on a Kohler one piece ?

How bad would this look on a light beige toilet?

Does it have an element to heat the water on demand? Takes like 30 seconds to get hot water in the bathroom I'm contemplating putting this in.

I assume you still use paper to get most of the funk off, and then finish with this?

Thanks! I think that model would be a lot easier for guests to figure out too!
