In for 1. Wish I had multiple accounts.

Got one of the cheap Asus AC1900s this week. Cheaper to go this route than upgrade the whole office to gigabit.

Some jerk installed wall plates or wires in the wall that won't support gigabit.

Is this the same as the OURLINK one posted 2 days ago?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018TX8IDA/

Edit: Looks like the OURLINK has a higher gain antenna (5dBi vs 2dBi)

Looks to be the same one as this thread https://slickdeals.net/f/10546700-anewkodi-600mbps-dual-band-wireless-usb-wifi-adapter-8-90 just with a different name.

Bought that one a while back. I was getting great speedtest results with mine, but any file copies across the LAN were horribly slow. After I downloaded the latest drivers from the Realtek website, it is now orders of magnitude faster.

I am a little confused here. Anyone please chime in if I am wrong. Right now I am using a Linksys wifi dongle so I can use my faster wifi speeds. The max offered by comcast. But my wifi card built into my laptop will not support the newer wifi speeds. And this product, just as my current usb wifi adaptor, will do the same thing, and I it will bypass the crappy wifi card in my laptop, and I will be able to utilize the faster wifi speeds from Comcast. Correct? Please advise

Same thing as your linksys wifi dongle as long as they both support dual band & wireless ac, which is what I am assuming is your goal. Keep in mind that your comcast router must support this as well. If you're trying to achieve maximum speeds always use ethernet when possible.
