Greatest space simulator out there. But its tough. Lots to learn. Zero hand holding. Heres your ship, fly to this base, then everything else is up to you. No linear story.

The game is what you make it. Want to combat, do bounties. Want to Cargo, be a shipper. Want to smuggle illegal goods or people, Han Solo it. Want to ship people star system to system, you can do that. Just want to fly around and explore the galaxy, you can do that and sell star charts you make. Its all up to you.

Yeah, this game is a huge timesink with a ridiculous learning curve. Not sure now would be the best time to give it focus with all that's coming out. I still haven't had a chance to re-try No Man's Sky since all the updates, and this is basically NMS on steroids.

Yup.

Its the cheapest on PC as well I believe as earlier it was $40 as lowest price for the game including the expansion.

Why not? I'll give it a try. Bad timing though.. too many damn games coming out/already out in this 30-60 day stretch. >_<

I went ahead and bought. I am not into FPS titles coming out soon, so this is a good alternative for me, and $30 and includes season pass seems well worth it.

Really, really steep. Not a game that you can really play a half hour at a time, either. Travel can be long and there's not really a whole lot of direction as to what to do

They learning curve is pretty crazy and the time sink is also pretty crazy I stop playing on console after I 250+ light year jump was refueling from the sun cargo hatch got damage and I lost the cargo. I do need to return and give it another shot

I enjoy the game and agree about the time suck. Just to get all the basics down it took me about an hour. To become proficient, get an idea of what I wanted to do, and to immerse into the politics of the galaxy would have taken considerable hours if I hadn't stop playing. I have a big drive to start playing again when work slows down.

By this what is a good amount of time in a single play to be able to enjoy (once past the learning curve)? I've been waiting for it to go sale on Xbox.com as I have reward points to use. I'd love to have a good space flight game on my Xbox, but i have at best 2 hours (usually less) of consecutive time to dedicate.

Landing in a space port takes some getting used to. Is fun to tool around in.
