After getting a bunch of these types of flashlights, I'm only going to buy high CRI lights from now. The P25 has the XM-L U2 LED which probably only hits 65 CRI according to this chart: http://www.cree.com/led-component...ampXML.pdf
It's bright but the color quality is lousy. I'd prefer 90 CRI or higher.

I researched the topic of CRI and I'm seeing that most LEDs will have a small tradeoff between CRI, lumens, and color temperature. To keep it short, it's easy to make a light with colder colors, lousy CRI, and run on little power (high lumens).
It's harder to get into the high CRI without cheating a little by making the light warmer going into the infrared spectrum.
I personally prefer 5600K but reflected colors are more important.
I'm also reading that TLCI is a better scale for light quality. It's used by the television industry.

I wish the Nitecore Tip CRI came in an 18650 variant.

*I'm not an expert on this subject matter so please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. This is from independent learning*

Nitecore makes awesome lights, not to be confused with the cheap $10 knock offs.

Been using one of these at work (as a mechanic) for the past year or two; brighter and smaller than my coworkers Streamlight and is showing no signs of giving up on me after some rough use. Ordering another one for the hell of it, thanks!

I agree with you on liking the higher CRI light. Do you have any recommendations that you like with a really good CRI?

How does this gearbest website work?

I just won't let me enter the coupon code, whenever I enter the coupon code and click Apply it takes me to login screen and then after I login it does nothing and the same process repeats.

What stupid website

I'm done with Nitecore. Have three different lights; two of which have battery drain problem unless I mechanically lock it and the other one flat out died on me.

I'm confused, it states up to 325 hours runtime. But in the description, it states 30 hours on low mode. Which is it?
