That RX 2.0 looks really interesting. Is that a fair, good, or great price?

I would say it is a great price for that bike. It is a cyclocross bike and is a geared a bit aggressive, so the climbing gear ration is a bit high. Could be perfect depending on your riding but figured I would point it out. The ratio can also be changed later with a different cassette if needed.

Actually, much of my biking will be around town, on pavement, and a little off the beaten path. I don't see myself doing any serious off-road biking. Not much climbing either. So, is the RX 2.0 the best choice, or should I be looking at the Tamland?

I don't think you could go wrong with either of those bikes. First I would make sure the RX 2.0 is available in your size, they only have 54 and 56.

The other main differences are Aluminum vs Steel frames and SRAM 1x drivetrain vs Shimano 2x drivetrain. I have a 1x on my daily commuter(Tamland 2) and really enjoy it, there is less maintenance and I have yet to drop a chain. A 2x drivetrain is more tradition and will offer a wider range of gears. SRAM and Shimano also have different shifting styles. SRAM uses one lever to shift up and down with what they call double tap while Shimano uses the break lever as a second shift lever. Both work well it is really just a matter of preference.

Why can't i find these on search of eBay or 365 bikes eBay store?

I want to see what else they have as far as specials go and I can't even find these ones.

I must be doing something wrong, would love a hint.

Also any tips on where to find our more detailed specs on these bikes?

Interested in the Grand Vitesse, would like to know the width of the rims, seems like it can fit 32c tires, wondering about fender size (hidden mounts is mentioned elsewhere). Do I just need to call Raleigh direct?

Cheers, sorry for my noob questions.

Grand Vitesse looks like a great bike for the price. Reynolds 853 and Ultegra groupset for $1100?! The geometry looks to be more upright too which may be good for those looking to ride in more comfort although you do lose some efficiency.

I was searching for Raleigh under 365's items for sale to find the bikes listed above. You can also goto http://stores.ebay.com/365cycles/ and click on one of the links under 'Bike and Bike Frames'.

I tried finding the rim width on the Grand Vitesse but didn't have much luck. I would assume if there is brake clearance the rims could handle 32c. Might be worth messaging Raleigh they got back to me quickly about a few questions I had when buying a few months back. Ended up with the Tamland 2 for $1200 (Didn't make this deal list).

People who ride their bikes during rush hour and take up a whole lane and slow down traffic really need to stop being assholes. They need to take the stick that is stuck up their ass.

If it is rush hour bikes likely aren't the major cause of your traffic. However, if you would like bikes off the road maybe you should lobby for more bike lanes in your town.

some people do it because they have no better option. but some are self entitled jerks or newbs who haven't learned how to ride safely in traffic.

if you have a bike you shouldn't ride it during rush hour? maybe your city needs to invest in bike lanes... maybe you should force yourself to get around solely on a bike for a week; it could change your whole attitude...

imagine all the horses the first car drivers had to wait behind.... EEK!
