I was tempted until I saw users' feedback that in real world, it gives you 30-50Mbps thru put. Well it is still good if your internet connection is less than 30Mbps.

I have these. Works well for regular speed network access when wifi just doesn't work. This model is several years old so you get what you pay for. Buy the latest ones if you want to stream hd

These are good for putting IP cameras in areas that are hard to get cabling to or the wireless signal is weak (which it is on many cheap IP cameras).

You just need to make sure things like surge protectors and even GFCI electrical outlets (ground fault) aren't used as they tend to slow the signal way down.

Exactly. Don't even bother using a surge, nothing but problems. Really good solution for networked HT receivers.
