Super Nintendo (SNES) Classic for New York, New Jersey and Connecticut residents (or anyone visiting the NYC area)

Nintendo World in New York City guaranteed stock of at least 200 Super Nintendo Classics everyday this week. Everyone who lined up at 2 PM were guaranteed to receive one. They stopped giving out wristbands simply because they had so many in stock. The lines barely had under 50 people with hundreds of units left on shelves!

The cost was $80 + $7 NY tax (8.875%) = $87

I spoke to the Nintendo employees and they were amazed that retail stores were sold out. They recommended that everyone who wants one visit Nintendo World NYC next week to buy one there. Their Twitter account will announce a schedule when you should line up next week to buy one. Simply showing up at their store at the time they recommend will guarantee you a unit.

They record your driver's license in your computer where you cannot buy another one until 2018 in order to prevent reselling them. Everyone in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area (or anyone visiting the NYC area) should take a train to NYC to buy one.

You know... if you bought like 10, it might just pay for your roundtrip ticket + 2 nights hotel Smilie

This is also useful for people going on mileage runs Smilie This should be cross posted to flyertalk forums

For New Jersey and Connecticut residents add 15 bucks for the Lincoln/Holland tunnel or GWB etc.

I have two, I got one for a friend but he ended up getting one online. They are selling for 100$ on Facebook/Craigslist etc so getting them for resale would be stupid anyway
