Gretsch G2655T Streamliner Center Block Jr. with Bigsby Candy Apple Red -- $430 at Guitar Center [guitarcenter.com]

I love this guitar (I really love it in the walnut stain but that one is not on sale). And I've never seen it on sale before. This is a great price for an awesome ax.

This is a semi-hollow body guitar with a center block (better sustain, less feedback) made in Indonesia with some pretty versatile pickups (Broadtrons).

Check it out for yourself, but don't be surprised if you bring one home.

Looks like a great deal. What's the difference between this and the electromatic line?

Check out this video of the pickguard removed, and the wide range of tones this slightly smaller Gretsch gets, with the Alnico magnet infused Broadtron pickups. Impressive, and a sharp licensed Bigsby (nice tailpiece design) to boot.

You can price match at Musician's Friend and pay no tax. But less than 22% off the regular price is not a Slick Deal.

I miss my old Schechter 7-string Jazz Guitar that looked so much like this one. I'm tempted!

It's pretty small (the body) in comparison.....the neck is the same and the pickups are the same

This is a great deal and reviews seem good but experience tells me to avoid. Cheap bigsbys don't stay in tune and I've never liked the sound from a cheap gretsch. If im going filtertrons, it's gonna be a Guild Starfire IV every time, but that's a different price point.

Guitar center had this same deal about a month ago. I tried it, and the guitar is absolutely wonderful, a joy to play. I'm glad I held out for the 5420 but don't be fooled into doubting the quality of the streamliner just because of the price point.
