Agree. Yet at this price could be all that some one with limited need, would wish for. Also if you are to modify a camera body, say making a customized IR camera, this could be ideal.
Only know that this is not the one with "i" in the name.

Good camera for someone looking to get back into photography? Have not owned a "decent" camera since a basic Rebel back in the 90s. Should I get something a little more spendy that will serve me better for the future?

My first true dslr was a 8 meg Rebel xt and I used it for quite a few years and upgraded to the T3 12 meg camera. The xt took great clean shots, the T3 does just as well and has better higher iso settings. If you want a nice basic camera with great resolution for cheap this would be a great option. Of course the i versions of the later cameras are way better yet with more options but they don't tend to go on stupid price very often. I would have loved to get the T3i option with higher resolution and the flip screen and all that but I paid like 280 for it on a deal posted here just like the deal on the xt from here years earlier. I sold my xt to a friend with a bunch of memory cards and batteries for 200 so paid for most of the upgrade and everyone was happy. If you want the top dog always get the i model if you can afford it but this is a good deal for a very nice basic camera.

How do you add an extra lens to your order for 35$?

Except, that review took into account the $450 price tag. For $280, compared to all the other $280 cameras, this is a good deal.

Promo code no longer works. They also add sales tax. In addition I had issues as my address is not listed in the USPS database, so the order wouldn't process. Would have been about $320.
